Today’s spotlight: Diego Rodriguez
Diego Rodriguez is the owner of Power Marketing Consultants in Boise, ID. Before finding Mike Koenigs and Traffic Geyser/Marketing Machines, Diego was a bi-vocational Pastor working full time as a salesperson for a software company, and Pastoring a church in Fresno, CA.
In Diego’s own words:
I produced a suite of marketing materials for local businesses, starting with videos and a website. I took Mike’s foundation of the 10x10x4 and modified it for local orthodontist’s firm (I found that the 10x10x4 works best for internet marketing, but that it wasn’t particularly well-suited for local businesses). These videos along with Traffic Geyser/Marketing Machines tools allowed me to close my first client for $12,500. The package included 11 videos, a website, and some copywriting for his voicemail, etc. .
My next client was a boiler company. We did a similar package for $7,500. Then I moved to Boise and got my first client (a contractor) with another similar package for $5,000. Two weeks later, I signed another contract for $15,000 ($5,000 per month for 3 months) with this same client and then built a continual income by contracting for a percentage of the company’s growth (2% of gross revenue). This means that as long as the company grows, I will make a percentage of their growth! This is how we are working with all of our clients now.
I started working in Boise in June 2011. By November, I was ready to expand. Expansion happened rapidly and I’ve now hired 2 salespeople, a personal assistant, a Graphic Designer, an additional marketing consultant, and I am also employing my wife and my 3 daughters! It’s been fast and exciting!
The main tool I used besides TG or IC was the SEO training that I received from Chris Winters who was the TG affiliate that I bought Social Media Marketing Machines through.
